Real Madrid News: Marcelo Wants To Join Ronaldo At Juve

Portugal International Wants Juventus Switch

Marcelo Real Madrid transfer

Real Madrid left-back Marcelo wants to join his former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.

Marcelo and Ronaldo were good friends both at club level and internationally for Portugal. But Marcelo hasn’t hit it off with new Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui and El Confidencial newspaper claims that he will look for a new move at the first available opportunity.

For his part, Ronaldo believes he isn’t getting the kind of service at Juventus that he was doing at Real Madrid and that he would like Marcelo to join him at the Serie A club.

But Juventus are unlikely to entertain a winter move for any of their players. Alex Sandro is their current first-choice left-back and has played every minute of their three Serie A games so far this season.

Sandro was linked earlier this year with a move away from Juventus. Manchester United were strongly linked. That was after Chelsea saw a bid rebuffed in the summer transfer window of 2017. But Juventus stood firm and are reported to have had preliminary discussions over a new contract for Sandro. Any new deal will put a move for Marcelo out of the question.
