Nelson To Sign New Contract
Arsenal midfielder Reiss Nelson is set to join Bundesliga side Hoffenheim on a season-long loan.
Nelson now looks set to sign a new long-term contract with the Gunners after entering the final year of his current deal. But he has agreed to move to Germany for the rest of the season.
The 18-year-old broke into the Arsenal side last season making a total of 15 appearances. Two of those appearances came as a Premier League starter and he also came off the bench on one occasion. The other 12 appearances came in the Europa League where Nelson made three starts and was a substitute on five other occasions.
He was named Premier League 2 Player Of The Season following a string of impressive performances for the Arsenal under-23 side.
Nelson hasn’t featured in any of Unai Emery’s three squads so far this season although he did make five appearances in pre-season friendlies.
