Spanish Giants Turn To Lazio Star After Failing To Land Hazard
Real Madrid are planning a late bid for the Lazio midfielder Sergey Milinkovic-Savic.
The Serbia international was linked with Manchester United for much of the early part of this year.
Juventus entered into talks with Lazio earlier this summer over the possible transfer of Milinkovic-Savic. But with a price tag of over €100million and Juve intent on signing Cristiano Ronaldo for a similar fee that ruled out a move for the Serb as well.
Reports from Italy are claiming that after being knocked back in their efforts to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea last week Real have switched their attentions to Milinkovic-Savic.
But the European champions may hit a similar block in their bid to sign the 23-year-old. Lazio don’t have a replacement lined up and the transfer deadline for Serie A is this Friday.
Milinkovic-Savic is likely to remain at Lazio at least until the January transfer window and possibly for the whole of next season.
