Loan With Right To Buy Next Summer
AC Milan are preparing an audacious bid for the Lazio midfielder Sergey Milinkovic-Savic.
The Serbia international was linked earlier in the summer with a number of top European clubs. However, the likes of Manchester United and Juventus were put off by Lazio’s valuation of well over €100million.
But according to Calciomercato, Milan could offer a huge fee of €40million just to take Milinkovic-Savic on loan for the coming season. The rossoneri would have the option next summer to purchase the 23-year-old for a fee of €70million. That would take the total fee to €110million – a little less than Lazio president Claudio Lotito initially asked but by far the best offer he has had to date.
Milan are unable to make a single bid of €110million this summer due to the Uefa’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
They could also offer the former Sunderland and Liverpool striker Fabio Borini as part of any deal. Borini scored just two goals in 29 Serie A appearances last season – 19 starts and 10 off the bench.
