Midfielder Rules Out Inter Move
Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is to stay with the La Liga side.
Modric, who won the Player Of The Tournament award at the World Cup this summer had been linked with a move to Inter Milan. The Chinese firm that owns the Serie A club offered Modric a six-year deal: four with Inter followed by two more at Chinese side Jiangsu Suning which shares a common ownership. It’s a lucrative offer for a player who turns 33 next month.
Modric has kept silent over the issue. But he posted an image to Twitter on Friday showing him training at Real’s Valdebebas complex. “Back to work” reads the caption.
The former Tottenham Hotspur player has evaluated all his options along with his family and has decided to stay at the Bernabeu.
Inter had offered him €10million a season to make the move to the San Siro.
