Chelsea are ready to pay a world-record fee of €80m (£71m) for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The 23-year-old is set to travel to London for a medical. His move would pave the way for a transfer to Real Madrid for Thibaut Courtois. The Belgium international has missed training in a bid to force through a move away from the club.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has told team-mates that he wants to leave Old Trafford. Jerome Boateng has told Jose Mourinho he won’t be moving to Manchester United. Leicester City are on the verge of signing central defenders Filip Benkovic and Caglar Soyuncu in moves that could lead to a successful bid from United for Harry Maguire.
