Chile International Must Decide His Own Future
Manchester United are one of a number of clubs being linked with Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal with the Chilean possibly about to leave the Bundesliga side.
Vidal has been tracked by United in the past, but his time at Bayern could be coming to an end and club chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told reporters on Wednesday. “His future is entirely up to him.”
The 31-year-old is under contract at Bayern until the summer of 2019.
Italian website Calciomercato claims that Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are both interested. But it adds that Manchester United are also keen.
Any move from Old Trafford sounds unlikely given Vidal’s age. Some outlets are linking Chelsea with a possible bid.
Meanwhile, Inter are keen on Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian. The Italy international has being linked with Juventus although that particular trail has gone cold. United want €20million (just under £18million). Juve are thinking of somewhere in the region of €13-14million (£11-12million).
But Inter are now looking upon Darmian as better value than the Atletico Madrid’s Stipe Vrsaljko and Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta. The Serie A side play Chelsea in Nice on Saturday.
