Premier League Sides Face Competition For Croat
Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic is wanted by both Huddersfield Town and Burnley, but the Croatian is now being linked with interest from Italy and Germany.
Pasalic, 23, moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2014 from Hajduk Split in his homeland in a transfer worth £3.5million. However, like so many new recruits at Chelsea he hasn’t played a single minute for the west London club. He has had loan spells in La Liga with Elche, in Ligue 1 with Monaco and in Serie A with AC Milan. Last season was spent at Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow.
Huddersfield and Burnley are being linked with a loan move and Serie A sides Atalanta and Fiorentina are keen to take him back to Italy. However, Bundesliga side Werder Bremen are now being linked.
Pasalic’s destination for the current season is expected to be announced on Wednesday. Atalanta are favourites to secure his signature.
