Soyuncu Has Turned Down Other Offers
Arsenal transfer target Caglar Soyuncu has revealed he has turned down offers from other clubs and that he wants to move to the Emirates.
Freiburg defender Soyuncu is valued at around £30million by the Bundesliga side and it is this steep valuation that has led to the Gunners looking elsewhere. Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos is also being linked with Arsenal. At 30, the Greece international is eight years older than Soyuncu, but he would be much cheaper at £16million.
Speaking to Turkish website Gunes, Soyuncu spoke of his hopes of a move to north London.
“I really want to play in the Premier League, but everything depends on the team,” he said.
“I have a contract for three more years.
“I received bids from some of the teams in Turkey. I would not be able to give the team a name, but I did not accept it.
“I hope I go to Arsenal.
“I do not think about playing in Turkey at the moment. I want to continue my career in Europe, but of course, we do not know what will happen in the future.
“One day I wear the uniform of a Turkish club, but this is not necessarily the time. My current goal is to achieve greater achievements in a larger team.”
Wilshere To Decide Future>/h3>
Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will decide his future after taking a holiday. The 26-year-old announced earlier this week that he will be leaving the Gunners. But he took to Instagram to announced his immediate plans.
“A big few weeks in my life coming up,” he said.
“But with good people around me, family and friends, we will make the right decision.
“For me and football.”
Everton, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are all being linked with Wilshere who technically becomes a free agent on 1 July.
