Liverpool won’t make a move for Roma keeper Alisson as long as the Serie A side are demanding £80million.

Brazil international Alisson has been linked with interest from Anfield as the Reds look to replace one or both of Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.

Real Madrid and Chelsea are now looking more likely destinations for Alisson. Real are likely to be in the market place for a new keeper this summer with Keylor Navas set to be replaced as their number one choice.

Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois is also a target for Real, but the west London club could make a move for Alisson if Courtois heads to the Bernabeu. The Belgium international has just one more year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool were interested in Alisson when his price tag was £50million – itself a world record. But not at £80million.

Shaqiri Talks Set For After World Cup

Liverpool’s efforts to sign Stoke City midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri will have to wait until after the World Cup.

Switzerland international Shaqiri has a relegation release clause of just £12million and Liverpool look favourites to trigger that clause following the Potters’ drop to the Championship.

Liverpool won’t pay much more than that although they could be forced to if other clubs step in and there is an auction for the 26-year-old.

Shaqiri is currently in Russia preparing for the World Cup. The Swiss face Brazil, Serbia and Costa Rica in their group.
