But Juventus Steal March In Race For Russia International
Manchester United and Chelsea will battle it out for CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin. However, the Premier League duo could miss out to Juventus in the race for the Russia international.
Reports from Italy claim that an agent representing Juve has already had discussions with CSKA and Golovin’s representatives. The Serie A giants could put in a bid of €18million (just over £15million).
CSKA are expected to demand €25million (£22million) for a player who is still only 22.
It was Golovin and not Marko Arnautovic who Jose Mourinho went to watch last month when he was spotted at the friendly international between Russia and Austria. Golovin played in that game and he is expected to start in Russia’s World Cup opener with Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
Golovin has spent his entire career at CSKA making over 110 appearances since his debut in the 2014-15 season.
