Fekir Open To Lyon Exit
Liverpool transfer target Nabil Fekir is refusing to rule out a move away from French side Lyon this summer.
Fekir is believed to be a £60million transfer target for the Reds. But speaking to French radio station RTL2 he says he will have talks over his future both with Lyon and with his own representatives.
“Why not,” he said when asked about whether there would be any move. “Later there will be discussions with the President and with my entourage in order to make a decision. In life you must not rule out anything.”
Liverpool’s transfer dealings and negotiations are expected to begin in earnest this week once the dust has settled from Saturday’s Champions League Final clash with Real Madrid.
One player who looks set to leave Anfield is Emre Can. The Germany international becomes a free agent at the end of next month and has been linked with a move to Juventus.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Juve chief executive Beppe Marotta says he hopes that a deal will be concluded for Can one way or another in the coming days.
“Can is attractive to us,” he said. “I am optimistic that within ten days we will conclude this operation either in a positive or a negative sense.”
Can is expected to sign a five-year deal with Juventus that will be worth €5million a year after tax. It’s the equivalent of £150,000 a week gross.
Juventus wanted to sign the Germany international last summer. However, Jurgen Klopp told Can he wasn’t leaving. A fresh bid in the January transfer window also came to nothing.
Can has already played his final game for Liverpool. A back injury picked up during the Reds’ 5-0 victory over Watford on 17 March ended his season.
