Wilshere In PSG Link
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is being linked with a move to French side Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Wilshere is out of contract on 30 June and he has so far refused to put pen to paper on a new deal. Arsenal initially offered him a deal that would have seen his wages cut to £90,000 a week. But there was a bonus scheme and appearance money payments to bring his pay up to around the same level it is now – £110,000 a week.
French newspaper L’Equipe claims that Wilshere’s representatives have approached PSG sporting director Antero Henrique over a move for the England international. However, it adds that Wilshere doesn’t match the profile of player PSG are interested in and that neither Henrique or incoming coach Thomas Tuchel are interested in signing Wilshere.
The proposal has very little chance of success.
Juventus Keen On Bellerin
Juventus are being linked with a move for the Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin. However, the Serie A champions are unlikely to match the Spaniard’s £50million valuation.
Juve have been linked with Bellerin over the last two summers, but Arsenal refused to sell and they tied him down in November 2016 with a seven-year contract running to 2023. His former club Barcelona were also linked last summer but were also deterred by Arsenal’s asking price. Barca have since dropped their interest and are unlikely to make a fresh move this summer.
According to the Sunday Express, Juve are ready to rekindle their interest in a player who hasn’t hit the heights this season that he has done in previous campaigns.
But Bellerin is still very much part of Arsenal’s future plans. He is anxiously waiting to see if he will be named in Spain’s World Cup squad will be announced on Monday.
