Chelsea want Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino to replace Antonio Conte.

Blues boss Conte is expected to take charge of the west London side for the final time this Saturday when Chelsea take on Manchester United in the FA Cup Final at Wembley. But his future has been very much up in the air ever since the fiasco of Diego Costa’s departure from the club last summer.

According to The Sun, Pochettino is aware of interest from Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and he is ready to make the leap from north London to west London. The paper claims that the two men have had disagreements over transfers and that Chelsea want Pochettino to head up a long-term strategy.

Conte’s exit will be announced next week regardless of whether Chelsea win the cup or not. He was linked with the vacant job as coach of the Italy national team – a post he held between 2014 and 2016. But Roberto Mancini was confirmed as Italy’s new head coach on Monday. Conte is more likely to take up a position within another Serie A side.
