Talks Take Place Over Summer Move
Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal could both be beaten to the signature of Bordeaux winger Malcom by Paris Saint-Germain.
The north London duo have both been extensively linked with the Brazilian. Bordeaux slapped a €50million price tag on the 21-year-old who has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 37 games for the French club this season.
Bayern Munich were reported last month to be interested in Malcom. However, club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge dismissed the rumours as “a hoax”.
Malcom was reported earlier this year to be taking English lessons and a summer move to the Premier League looked a nailed-on certainty. But in a surprising development he admits that a move to PSG could be on the cards.
“It’s a dream,” he said. “This is a great club, who will always play at the top level, playing in the Champions League, who will be champions of their league,” he told BeIn Sports on Saturday.
“I know there have conversations with PSG. PSG is a big club.”
PSG sporting director Antero Henrique is known to be an admirer of Malcom.
The former Corinthians player has a contract with Bordeaux until 2021. However, his ownership is a complex affair. Bordeaux bought only 50 percent of his rights from the Brazilian club in January 2016. The rest is believed to be owned by at least two agents as well as an investment company.
