Liverpool face Serie A side Roma in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Real Madrid face Bayern Munich in the other semi-final.

Holders Real qualified for an eighth successive semi-final with the last kick of their tie with Juventus on Wednesday. Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the spot after Juve had clawed back a three-goal deficit from the first leg. Real lost 3-1 on the night but won 4-3 on aggregate following a 3-0 win in Italy last week.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are hoping to become the first club to become European champions three seasons on the trot since Bayern Munich won the trophy between 1974 and 1976..

Bayern were held to a draw by Sevilla in the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night. But the Bundesliga champions had already down the hard work with a 2-1 victory in Spain.
