Bayern Won’t Play ‘Crazy Sums’
Manchester United face one less rival for the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Antoine Griezmann.
The France international is being linked with United as well as Barcelona and Real Madrid. Griezmann has a release clause of €100million (£88million) in his contract with Atletico. However, this increases to €200million (£176million) from 1 July next year.
However, one club to have dropped their interest is Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga side have also been linked with Griezmann, but speaking to Sky Deutschland, sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has ruled out any move for the Frenchman.
“We have not discussed Griezmann at all,” he said.
“We have time. We have decided on a few things in recent months, but the transfer market opens on January 1.
“We will not do any crazy things. You do not have to say anything about the sums. If something fits and is reasonable for Bayern, then we will do it.”
