Juventus Remain Keen
Borussia Dortmund are the latest club to join the race for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can. The Germany international is out of contract at the end of the season and was linked during the summer with interest from Serie A side Juventus. But according to The Times, Dortmund are now monitoring his situation at Anfield.
Can is at loggerheads with the Liverpool hierarchy over his insistence on a release clause in any new deal. Liverpool are refusing to include any such clause.
But The Times’ report appears to be largely speculative. It points out that Can’s agent Reza Fazeli also represents Dortmund coach Peter Bosz as well as midfielders Mahmoud Daoud and Nuri Sahin. That appears to be the basis for its story.
Juventus remain favourites to secure Can’s signature and the 23-year-old is still more likely to move to the Italian champions than he is to Dortmund.
