Tianjin Quinjian claim they are still working on a deal to take Chelsea striker Diego Costa to the Chinese Super League club. Tianjin will pay Costa a salary of £32m a year.

Manchester United face competition from at least five other clubs – including Manchester City and Arsenal – for the Monaco full-back Fabinho. Arsenal are hopeful of concluding a transfer deal for Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac. Carl Jenkinson has been told he can leave the Emirates this summer. Manchester City still want Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci despite the Italy international turning 30 next week. City were put off by Juve’s £30m valuation of Bonucci last summer but may have to pay that amount to secure a deal.

Manchester City striker Enes Unal is wanted by Serie A side Lazio. Unal, 19, has scored 17 goals on loan at Dutch side Twente.

Liverpool have seen a €50m (£42m) bid for Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio rejected by the La Liga side.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out a summer transfer bid for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

West Bromwich Albion fans believe the club shouldn’t sign 36-year-old defender John Terry when he leaves Chelsea this summer. Baggies boss Tony Pulis is believed to be keen on a deal for the former England international.

Watford have ruled out a summer exit for Troy Deeney. The striker has been linked with a £20m move to West Bromwich Albion.
