Gueye Is Arsenal Transfer Target
Arsenal are keeping tabs on Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye. The 27-year-old has impressed for the Toffees since arriving from Aston Villa last summer following the Midlands side’s relegation from the Premier League.
Gueye has been interesting clubs in Italy and Spain, but The Sun claims that Gunners scouts have watched Gueye on a number of occasions and the Gunners could be interested in a summer move.
Toffees director of football Steve Walsh – the man who brought N’Golo Kante to English football at Leicester – believes Gueye can have a similar impact at Goodison.
Everton are looking to offer Gueye a new deal but his head could be turned by interest from north London.
Arsenal Keen On Dembele, Tierney
Arsenal are eyeing up a summer double-transfer bid for the Celtic pair of Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney.
Striker Dembele was watched by scouts from the Emirates on Sunday as Celtic took on Old Firm rivals Rangers at Parkhead. But he put in a disappointing performance as Gers hit a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw that saw the Hoops drop points for only the second time this season.
Dembele has scored 32 goals in 45 games in all competitions for Celtic this season – 17 in 26 Scottish Premiership games. But Arsenal will find themselves in competition with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and now Liverpool all of whom are being linked.
The Daily Mirror adds Kieran Tierney to Arsenal’s scouting list. The Celtic left-back has already made 65 first-team appearances for Celtic despite being just 19 years of age.
Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Tierney for some time. Football Gossip first reported the Gunners’ interest as far back as May of last year.
Celtic are interested in Arsenal forward Chris Willock and the 19-year-old could be part of any deal done for Tierney.
Former Arsenal youngster Oguzhan Ozyakup is also being watched by the Gunners. The 24-year-old midfielder is currently with Turkish side Besiktas. He signed for the Istanbul side after leaving the Emirates in 2012.
