Lucas Moura Keen On Arsenal Transfer
Paris Saint-Germain forward Lucas Moura is likely to choose to join Arsenal – if he leaves PSG – because of Arsene Wenger’s admiration for him.
The report comes from Italian media outlet ItaSportpress which claims that there is a mutual admiration between Moura and Arsenal boss Wenger that is likely to lead to the Brazil international choosing a move to the Emirates rather than to Manchester United.
Moura has recently lost his place in the PSG starting line-up following a series of lacklustre performances. His price tag stands at around £30million.
One player who won’t be moving to the Emirates – or anywhere else for that matter – is Atletico Madrid winger Antoine Griezmann. The France international was an Arsenal transfer target when he was with Real Sociedad and has been linked in recent weeks with Chelsea. But he told French TV programme Canal Football Club that he isn’t looking to quit Atletico Madrid for a foreign club.
“I do not feel the need to play in Ligue 1, the Premier League or Serie A,” he said. “I am happy in Spain. I like everything here, life, football, everything.”
Griezmann is reported to have a release clause of around €60million (£42million) in his contract with Atletico though this has never been officially confirmed.
Jese To Be Offered In Arsenal Transfer Deal?
Arsenal transfer target Jese Rodriguez will be offered to the Premier League club by Real Madrid in January, according to a Spanish media report. Arsene Wenger has been tracking the 22-year-old since he was a youth team player, but Don Balon claims the Gunners will be offered Jese for €30million (just over £21million) in the January transfer window.
Jese was a 65th-minute substitute for James Rodriguez in last night’s 8-0 Champions League victory over Malmo but he has made just eight appearances in La Liga so far this term, four of which have come off the bench. His two goals for the club have both come in the league and he hasn’t scored in the four cup games for the club. That gives him an average of a goal for every 290 minutes on the pitch and appears to be the trigger for Real that now is the time to cash in.
Arsenal are unlikely to be willing to pay a fee of over £20million for a player with those figures. Arsene Wenger is likely to put in a bid of around half that amount.
