Dynamo Kiev Face Sanctions After Video Emerges Of Racist Attack

Four Fans Attacked In Stands Before Chelsea Match

Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev could be hit with sanctions after video footage has emerged of four black football fans being attacked before Tuesday night’s Champions League clash with Chelsea.

The incident happened in the home section of Kiev’s NSK Olimpiyskiy Stadium. Four black men were physically attacked by Dynamo supporters. One of them was seen fleeing up the steps towards the exit at the stadium as stewards looked on. It is believed the black man were also Dynamo fans.

Piara Powar of Football Against Racism in Europe, who obtained the footage, said: “Usually we do not go public with these sort of reports – but we thought the footage was so serious that it should be shared with the media. We will be lobbying for the strongest sanctions.” Fare have passed the footage to Uefa.

On Monday night, a number of Chelsea fans were attacked at the Shato Brewery bar in Kiev. At least one needed hospital treatment following the attack.
