Young Belgian Set To Go Out On Loan
Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be linked with Manchester United forward Adnan Januzaj. The Belgium international looks set to exit Old Trafford on loan for the second half of this season having found his playing time limited under Louis van Gaal.
According to Le 10 Sport in France, PSG could make a move for Januzaj. The French club tried to take him on loan in the summer of 2013, but United ruled out an exit at that time.
Januzaj has had limited game time this season with just four Premier League starts and six appearances off the subs’ bench. His last appearance came in the 2-1 victory over Stoke City at the beginning of this month when he came on as an 89th-minute substitute.
Serie A sides Inter Milan and Juventus were both linked earlier this week with possible loan moves for Januzaj.
His agent insisted at the start of the season that the £59.7million arrival of Angel Di Maria would make no difference to Januzaj’s playing time after the 19-year-old made 27 league appearances last season. However, his words now appear to have been wide of the mark.
“I can be very clear. Januzaj no problem at United,” Dirk de Vries said at the beginning of September.
“The club and the coach have every confidence in him. He has not received the number eleven shirt for nothing.
“The arrival of the new boy therefore doesn’t play any part in his development.”
