Odegaard Set To Announce Munich Switch
Odegaard made over 20 Norwegian league appearances for Stromsgodset in the season just ended and already has three full international caps under his belt for Norway. He recently undertook a tour of some of Europe’s top clubs and trained with Ajax, Liverpool and Real Madrid before ending his tour with Bayern last week.
But according to German television network Sport 1 Odegaard has already made up his mind about a move and that he is set to sign for Bayern. The station claims the forward will make a long-term commitment to the Bundesliga champions and will sign a contract on his 16th birthday.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already described Odegaard as the “talent of the century.” But his decision to move to Germany will disappoint Liverpool fans.
The teenager spent a few days at Liverpool last month. When spotted by Liverpool fans and asked if he is about to sign for the club he responded: “I hope so”. However, those hopes are set to be dashed if these latest reports are to be believed.
All will be revealed on Wednesday.
