Arsenal Keen On Odegaard
The 15-year-old – he turns 16 next week – was at Liverpool last week, where he trained with the first team. Odegaard has also been shown round the training facilities at both Ajax and Real Madrid.
At least 14 clubs all over Europe are said to be interested in a player who already has three caps for Norway at senior level.
Somewhat surprisingly, Ajax are said to be favourites to secure Odegaard’s signature. The Dutch side might not be able to offer as much money as clubs in the Premier League but they have a reputation for quickly bringing through young players and Odegaard could find first-team opportunities coming through more quickly at Ajax.
Loan Deal For Arsenal Transfer Target?
Arsenal could make a loan move for Barcelona forward Munir. The 19-year-old is pushing for a loan move away from the Nou Camp and could be sent out from the Catalan side in January.
Arsenal were linked with Munir on the opening day of the Spanish league season when he scored for Barcelona in their 3-0 victory over. But he hasn’t played for the first team for over a month and is set for talks about his future with coach Luis Enrique.
A permanent departure from Barcelona isn’t on the cards. Instead, Munir looks set to go out on loan for the second half of the season with Arsenal at the head of the queue for his services.
Munir has a release clause of just €12million (£9.5million) in his contract with Barcelona. A new deal looks set to be signed that will raise that figure to €35million (£28million).
