‘No Manchester United Transfer Bid’ For Odegaard

Liverpool, Ajax, Real Madrid Are Front-Runners

Mourinho Rules Out Chelsea Interest

Martin Odegaard Manchester United transferThere has been no Manchester United transfer bid for Stromsgodset midfielder Martin Odegaard, says the Norwegian side’s sporting director Jostein Flo.

The 15-year-old sensation made his international debut for Norway earlier this season and already has over 20 first-team appearances under his belt for Stromsgodset.

Odegaard has been linked with over a dozen top European sides and has already been shown round the training facilities of both Ajax and Real Madrid with the Spanish club rumoured to have already made him an offer.

The teenager has also suggested that a move to Liverpool would be ‘a dream’ though there appears to have been no offer from Anfield – or from Old Trafford. However, he is due to train with Liverpool in the New Year.

“We have not received a bid from Manchester United for Odegaard, so once again this is just speculation,” Flo remarked on reports that a Manchester United transfer bid was on its way.

“It might have come through the mailbox, but it has certainly not reached me.”

He added: “If something concrete happens then you will know. We are not doing anything in secret over this.”

One club who are not interested in Odegaard is Chelsea. Manager Jose Mourinho said he wasn’t getting involved in an ‘auction’ over the youngster.

“I’ve heard that he is going to 25 teams, I just do not know which one,” Mourinho said this morning.

“We are not in a position where we can compete with 25 other clubs about him. We have a different profile. I will not be participating in the auction.”
