Bundesliga 2 side Ingolstadt were involved in a bizarre goal attempt on Saturday that saw them hit the bar no fewer than three times in the space of just three seconds during Saturday’s clash with Vfl Bochum.
First, Australian Matthew Leckie saw his header bounce off the Bochum bar not once, but twice. Moritz Hartmann came in for the rebound only for his effort to also hit the woodwork before Bochum scrambled the ball away.
Ingolstadt weren’t too bothered as they won the game 3-0 to remain top of Germany’s second tier, five points clear of Darmstadt. The side have never played in the Bundesliga having finished in 10th place last season – their highest-ever placing.
