Premier League transfer newsReports that Manchester United are set to ditch their option to buy Radamel Falcao and turn their attentions instead to Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani are a little wide of the mark – for now, at least. Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is facing a struggle to get back into the United side. However, the Spaniard faces questioning over his role in an alleged match-fixing plot in La Liga.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez could find himself back at Old Trafford next summer. The Mexico international is currently on loan at Real Madrid but the Spanish club are eyeing up a bid next summer for Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and may ditch their option to purchase Hernandez.

Arsenal are favourites to sign PSG’s former Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye as he struggles to nail down a place in the French side’s first team. However, Arsene Wenger has ruled out a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.
