Liverpool Youngster Monitored By Real Madrid

Liverpool transfer newsReports claim that Liverpool’s Spain Under-18 midfielder Pedro Chirivella is being monitored by Real Madrid.

The 17-year-old was linked in September with Real and the Daily Mail has revived the reports with a claim the youngster has been extensively watched by the Spanish side.

Chirivella was bought from Valencia for £200,000 in the summer of 2013. He was signed by former academy chief Frank McParland, who has since moved on to Brentford. McParland nicknamed Chirivella ‘The Computer’ for his ability to calculate the right pass.

Real have watched Chirivella in action for Liverpool in the Uefa Youth League as they seek to boost their academy.

The European champions have already agreed a deal for 18-year-old Mallorca midfielder Marco Asensio and are keen on Liverpool target Martin Odegaard, who plays for Norwegian side Stromsgodset.
