“I’d Love To Come Back!” Emile Heskey Keen On Leicester Return

Emile Heskey Leicester CityFormer Leicester City and England striker Emile Heskey says he would be interested in a move back to the Foxes.

Heskey has just finished a two-year stint with A-League side Newcastle Jets in Australia where he scored 10 goals in 42 games.

The 36-year-old has been linked with a move to the King Power Stadium and is eligible to make an immediate start with the club – if asked.

“It goes without saying, I’d love to come,” Heskey told the BBC. “It is a great club that allowed me to get to the platform that I got to.

“I was an England international when I was with Leicester so that was a great achievement.”

Heskey scored 46 goals in 197 games for Leicester between 1994 and 2000. He then moved to Liverpool in a club-record £11million transfer before going on to spells with Birmingham City, Aston Villa and Newcastle Jets. He moved back to England this summer and now represents Leicester in an ambassadorial role.

Heskey is a free agent and is free to sign up with the club now rather than wait until January. The Foxes also have room within their 25-man Premier League squad.

The club haven’t scored in their last five league games and their most recent win was the 5-3 victory over Manchester United over two months ago.
