Norwich’s Redmond Is Liverpool Transfer Target

Nathan Redmond Liverpool transfer news
Liverpool are being linked once again with Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond. The Daily Star Sunday claims the Reds could make a bid with Anfield scouts monitoring Redmond ahead of a £10million bid in January.

That would be double the £5million Southampton saw rejected at the beginning of September. Reports last weekend suggested there may still be interest from the south-coast club.

Redmond is still only 20 years old, but he was linked with Liverpool two years ago when he was with Birmingham City. But despite also being linked with Manchester City he failed to end up with the big club he was being touted to join and moved from Birmingham to Norwich in the summer of 2013. The Canaries paid an initial £2million with a further £1.2million in various add-ons and bonuses.

Norwich fear they will lose Redmond to a club willing to pay him far more than the £18,000-a-week he currently earns. For their part, Liverpool believed Redmond can make a similar impact to Raheem Sterling.
