Manchester United Transfer News Sunday 23 November

Herrera In Bayern Link

xherdan shaqiri Manchester United transferManchester United could let midfielder Ander Herrera go to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window.

Reports this morning claim that Bayern’s Switzerland international midfielder and Manchester United transfer target Xherdan Shaqiri (pictured) will move to Old Trafford and the German side will throw in a further £7million in cash.

The transfer would value Herrera at £25million. He cost United just over £30million when they bought him from Athletic Bilbao in August but he has made just five appearances so far this season.

Newcastle, Everton In Depay Link

Manchester United face competition from Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Everton for PSV midfielder Memphis Depay.

The 19-year-old has been linked with interest from Old Trafford after starring for Holland in the World Cup during the summer. However, Newcastle and Everton both had scouts watching Depay in Holland’s 3-2 defeat to Mexico earlier this week.

Real Madrid have also been linked with the Dutch starlet.

£20m For Manchester United Transfer Target

Manchester United will offer £20million for Atletico Madrid defender Joao Miranda according to a report from Spain.

The Brazilian was a Manchester United transfer target in the summer, but the deal floundered over Atletico’s insistence on the full £24million release fee payment.

Miranda is now 30 and that is likely to rule out any interest from Old Trafford. Even at a reduced fee he will have little or no re-sale value at the end of his contract and is already at the age where United usually offer only one-year deals.

Lindegaard In Nyland Swap Rumour

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard could head back to Norway as part of a deal for Molde keeper Orjan Nyland.

Reports this morning suggested the 30-year-old will be used in a part-exchange deal to bring Nyland to Old Trafford.

United are already being linked with former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes and Lindegaard was expected to make way for the Spaniard. Any move for the 24-year-old Nyland is likely to rule out the offer of a contract for Valdes.

The 32-year-old has been training with United since a move to Liverpool fell through.
