FC Basel defender Fabian Schar has been linked with both Manchester United and Arsenal, but the Switzerland international is now being linked with Juventus. And he has not ruled out a move away from the Swiss side in January.
“It’s certainly very gratifying to know that an important team like Juventus could have thought of me for their defence,” he told Calciomercato in Italy.
“The Italian league is a major championship in which there are some strong teams. It is a very interesting competition.”
Schar’s international team-mate, Stephan Lichtsteiner, is at Juventus and he said he had spoken to him about Serie A, but he added:
“To Italy in January? I do not exclude anything. In football, as in life, everything is possible. Right now I’m happy to be at Basel and am focused to do well with my team. In January, we’ll see what happens.”
