‘No January Exit’ From Manchester United for Mata

Juan Mata Manchester UnitedManchester United midfielder Juan Mata is happy at Old Trafford and has no intention of leaving the club in January.

The Spaniard has been linked with an exit from United in the winter transfer window but Spanish football specialist Guillem Balague claims that Mata isn’t looking to move away from the club.

Mata was expected to make way for Radamel Falcao this season but the Colombian’s ongoing injury problems mean he has started in seven of United’s Premier League games this season and has been a substitute on two other occasions.

Balague also points out that Mata is third in the list of shirt sales so far this season despite the uncertainty about his future. But he is happy at present and United boss Louis van Gaal is happy with his performances so far this season.

Mata has been linked on a number of occasions this season with interest from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid, most recently last weekend.

He has also been linked with a swap deal involving Juventus defensive midfielder Arturo Vidal.
